    Kerrin represents families in Individual Education Program (IEP) meetings and administrative hearings to ensure schools and school districts are providing the services, accommodations, and modifications necessary for their children to receive an appropriate and equitable education.

    Kerrin draws on a long and varied career in education, having worked as a special education teacher, at both the United States Department of Education and the Massachusetts Department of Education, on her town’s school committee, as a court-appointed guardian-ad-litem and investigator, and finally as a parent of three children.

    As a special education advocate, Kerrin effectively balances fierceness with cooperation, toughness with compassion, in seeking to obtain the most optimal outcomes for her clients.

    Kerrin earned her law degree, her Masters in Education, and her Bachelors Degree in Education from Boston College. She is a member of the Massachusetts bar.

    Doug has broad experience as a business lawyer, litigator, and regulatory attorney over his almost twenty-five years as an attorney.

    He has served as the Chief Legal Officer for several businesses across the insurance and securities industry, including for young start-ups as well as long-standing business lines generating billions in revenues. In these roles, he has advised on a wide array of products and services — including life insurance, annuities, Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement plans, health insurance, property & casualty insurance, variable insurance, securities, managed accounts, and financial planning — and a broad range of legal issues across regulatory, litigation, M&A, employment, digital marketing, lead generation, data analytics, privacy, corporate governance, and contracting matters.

    Doug also has deep experience defending companies in regulatory inquiries, examinations, and enforcement matters brought by the U.S. Department of Justice, FTC, SEC, FINRA, state Attorneys General, state Departments of Insurance, and state Securities Divisions.

    Doug has conducted internal investigations for companies across the insurance, securities, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing sectors and has deep experience defending Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) claims and litigation.

    Doug earned his law degree from Boston College and his Bachelors Degree in History from Duke University. He is a member of the Massachusetts and District of Columbia bars.

    Prior to attending law school, Doug worked as a third-grade teacher in Los Angeles as part of the Teach for America program.
